The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
Jesus died on the cross. He has already gone before us. By doing this, He prepared a way for us to be in alliance with God. And God is with us in the form of the Holy Spirit, our comforter. If you believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead, victorious over death, then you have received the Holy Spirit. If you are confused about someone who claims to be a Christian, but walks away from God, then they were never truly a believer. A true believer is still a sinner…we all are…but a true believer will always come back to God in repentance. The Holy Spirit helps us with that. He comforts and guides us, and empowers us to live a life of faith. Once we have truly believed and received the Holy Spirit, we are set apart to God. Period. God is with us, rooting for us, working to help us. God is with you, He goes before you. He won’t stop fighting for you. So, don’t be afraid or discouraged. The God of all creation, a being beyond the limits of time and space, is in your corner. Be encouraged!
