Have you ever caught yourself falling in the habit of only praying for specific issues that you may be experiencing? Or generally just praying for God’s blessings. These verses teach us how to pray more specifically for growth and development. These verses are a prayer for enlightenment. A prayer to reveal what God has done for us and also what He is currently doing for us. The prayer asks us to understand these three things. First thing to understand is the hope that God has called to us. That we prepare for the future, rather than live for the now. Second thing to understand is our place in God’s purpose. We belong to Him. We are the riches of God’s inheritance. Third, and last thing to understand, is that we recognize His power that is at work for us. The power that will transform our lives and allow us to do His will. We may be weak, but He is strong!
